Corvette ZR1 - Something good comes out of america?

The title yes does sound a bit anti-america. But I am not anti america - they did probably help in developing the internet age and they are in essence still young in terms of history - but this car actually looks good? I was driving behind a corvette in the UK last week but it was a much older model so I payed it little attention. This one however looks pretty damn good. I don't like the central buldge which looks new style celica like (bad for a higher end car) but the lights look supra like which is ok. Still cant work out what that weird central bit on the bonnet is though????

Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS - Christmas Carol with a V12

When I saw this pop up at me I basically then decided screw saving for a db9. Look at it - this thing is worth 100 christmas's, and if santa really was fly he would be delivering everything from one of these cars. Wheels big enough to sink a ferry if you were ever to go on one, and an engine with more throat than a giraffe. This thing will have you 0 - 60 in 3.8seconds, and you will look damn cool the whole time, as well as being embedded in the (very nice) seat. 10/10 aston :D

Ascari A10 - Yellow Thunder

Top Gear, UK Tv 09/12/07 - this car vs a daihatsu, I wont even bother telling you which daihatsu, it doesnt matter. This thing is fast, 215mph fast. Loud - bright yellow, bmw v8 loud and quick off the mark at 2.something 0 - 60mph. One thing I will say though is if I had one I would get it in black - cant be doing with this yellow milarky.

Acabion GTBO 70 - Those Crazy Swiss

To say rocket car would be somewhat accurate for this car, from looking at the figures you cant help but wonder why such an insane car would be built, when frankly with figures like that it should be in space. And you would be right. This baby features carbon fibre bodywork on a space frame - high tech sh** which makes it very very light. Combine this feather weight pocket rocket with 700 break horse power and your away...very very quickly. You might look a bit stupid pulling up to a conference in it though...

Porsche 997 GT3 - Cup Edition - Wowawewah

Now when you go around trying to buy used car do you ever see something as hot as this? This Cup edition of the Porsche GT3 (997) is a stunning car, and would be well worth getting car finance for. Featuring a B6 Engine and enough BHP to kill a tortoise or thousand. When it comes to new cars you cant really trump a Porsche GT3. These things are fast, hot and balanced. One of the most established cars, produced in germany, one of the most established car manufacturing nations. Professionals that have skill beyond their white paint brushes.

Its just an honest shame that they didn't paint it bright green like the other GT3 I saw last week, caning me around a track. I personally usually seek used cars in west wales, but I very much doubt you'd see a GT3 in my county!

Truly mentalist - A pure-bred car that frankly should be in space. I love the middle windscreen wiper and wide screen. The lights look like a cat being propelled at 600mph's eyes. With more carbon fibre sheeting than America this car has insane figures attached. Not much more needs to be said - a great car whatever the price.

Pagani Zonda R

Totally Bonkers, Crazy, Mental - all phrases commonly associated with the Zonda R. Realistically it is all of the above, and more. Its theatrical in every sense and most definately the most noted hypercar of recent years. More than that the R is a mental mentalist car, a second generation serial killer who is better than the cops - leaner, wider, longer, faster and with more carbon fibre sheets strapped to the side, who wouldn't buy one given the capital?

Toyota Supra Mark IV

This car has kept me entertained for years, whenever I see one I am very gelous, the one car that unanimously ruled my youth day dreams. I could have afforded one this year but decided I didnt want to die and I couldnt find a nice example quick enough. Considered the poor mans porsche killer the supras strait six, especially the UK speck 6 speed twin turbo is a legend of a car and should not be considered slow. Tuneable to over 1000bhp they have a lot of scope!

Some GT cars have just got it, Maserati GT cars always make me think fast and loud, and this one is no exception, low to the ground, hell of a side profile. If only I had my own race track *goes into day dream*Vital Statistics

Hennessey Venom GT Concept - Fast?

Now I am not one for american cars - but done by UK car designer Steve Everitt the Venom GT would in theory use the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper v10 engine - but with a very light weight mid engine chassis. Now that sounds good, promising and like something you would buy. But chances are you would die in it - that's if it ever gets made.



Still its spec looks promising and as a fast car the Hennessey Venom GT Concept definately stacks up, although in real life I am unsure of the realisticalness of this Bugatti Veyron on a diet. The veyron looks heavy, and that's reassuring when your going 250mph, but this thing looks like a feather. Now feathers aren't really reassuring at 250mph.

After looking at the GT 722 version of this car last post I thought I would re-look at the original car. I mean look at the photo - its stood next to one huge great lump of rock, very mercedes - but also very 'vulture corpse' I mean look at it. If I sat 1000 English designers down and said to each of them design me a fast car - not one would look anything like this. The only way I could get a drawing of similar brute ugliness out of them is if I had gathered them together and then said 'draw me a dead vulture.'
You can see from the specs though that the GT car is essentially this car....lol
